This Sunday at First Church, we’ll turn our attention to the bold, uncompromising voice of the prophet Amos, a shepherd who became a truth-teller. Amos spoke to a nation that had grown comfortable and prosperous, but at the expense of compassion and justice.
Sometimes, God’s voice comes not as a whisper, but as a roar, calling us to wake up, to care more deeply, and to live out our faith in small, courageous ways.
