Baptism

Baptism is one of the two sacraments we celebrate in the United Church of Christ, along with the Lord’s Supper. It is “an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace”—a public symbol and act, reminding us of God’s love for all. It is a moment of welcome into the life of Christ and our church family.
We joyfully baptize people of all ages, whether you’re bringing your child, preparing for your own baptism, or exploring this step in faith. Most baptisms happen during our Sunday worship services, allowing the whole congregation to support and celebrate with you.
If you're thinking about baptism, we’re here to walk with you. Our pastors will help you understand its meaning and guide you through the process. Parents are invited to consider how they’ll nurture their child’s spiritual life at home and in the church community. We also welcome godparents or sponsors, though they’re not required—our entire congregation promises to be a source of support and love.
To start the conversation or schedule a baptism, reach out to one of our pastors or contact the church office at (203) 637-1791 ext. 814.
We’d love to talk with you.
