Palmer Handbells and Silverthorn Handchimes

Palmer Handbells
Silverthorn Handchimes
The Palmer Handbells and Silverthorn Handchimes are for those in 9th grade and up. They play for worship on the four Sundays of Advent and 3-4 times a year as schedules allow. Craig Symons, Minister of Music/Organist leads this group. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30. A group of ten ringers is required for the bulk of the repertoire that we play, with the occasional pieces requiring one or two more or less. A regular commitment to this ensemble is crucial. When a person is absent, there is a “hole” in the fabric of music being rehearsed. Music reading is essential, and experience with keyboard or percussion instruments is helpful.
