Dear Church,

One of the cool things about using the Narrative Lectionary is we hear lesser-known stories of our faith, like this week's scripture from 1 Samuel 1 and 2 about Hannah. You might know her as Samuel's mother, but there is so much to Hannah's story.

Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be thinking about First Church through our "Past, Present, and Future," and Hannah's story is a great place to start the exploration. We'll be thinking about these questions: "What do you cherish about the past?" "What brings you peace in the present?" and "What excites you about the future?"  And you won't want to miss worship on October 27th when all of those questions come together in a very fun and hands-on way!
