Do you miss singing with your choir during the summer months?

Our 8th season of Summer Sings opened in 2018 with some new features: we’re moving to Thursday nights, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and only having two sings,  June 28 and August 30, 2018 and gathering in the glorious acoustic of the Auditorium, which is now air conditioned, making summer events more enjoyable.

First Church’s Director of Music, Craig Scott Symons, led both sings. The 2019 season is not yet announced.

Thursday,  June 28, 2018 was Bach Magnificat

Thursday,  August 30, 2018 was Bernstein Chichester Psalms, honoring what would have been the composer’s 100th birthday on August 25.

Non-singers are welcome, free of charge, to enjoy this evening of community singing. Music will be provided. Hospitality, refreshments, and fun are all included! No sign-up necessary, just come ready to sing. Donation is $10 per singer.

New this year: college students and younger are free!
