Palmer Handbells & Silverthorn Handchimes

The Palmer Handbells and Silverthorn Handchimes is for those in 9th grade and up. They play for worship on the four Sundays of Advent and 3-4 times a year as schedules allow. Craig Symons, Minister of Music/Organist leads this group. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30. A group of ten ringers is required for the bulk of the repertoire that we play, with the occasional pieces requiring one or two more or less. A regular commitment to this ensemble is crucial. When a person is absent, there is a “hole” in the fabric of music being rehearsed. Music reading is essential, and experience with keyboard or percussion instruments is helpful.
